Sonia Chritton, President

Sonia's sister has Type I diabetes, and her son was diagnosed when he was 1 1/2 years old. She has two other children participating in prevention trials. She has been actively donating, fundraising, studying and reviewing Type I research projects for ten years. She previously served on the ADA and JDRF boards and helped to review research grants for the JDRF. She has a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.

Ellen H. Ullman, Vice President of Research

Ellen's son Zachary was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 15 months of age. She created a website KidsRPumping.Com to empower parents of children with diabetes to learn about pump therapy in children. Ellen and her family have actively supported diabetes research since Zachary's diagnosis in 1989. Ellen feels strongly that it is incumbent upon parents of children with diabetes to raise awareness and research dollars to cure Type 1 diabetes.

Matt Lynett, Treasurer

Matt's son wears an insulin pump and formerly played football for the University of Northern Colorado. His son is currrently interning in Washington, DC for a US Senator. Matt is President of the Denver Wells Fargo Community Banks. He and his wife Ruby have been actively working to raise money to cure Type 1 diabetes and previously served as the President of the Rocky Mountain JDRF chapter.

Lauren Lanning, Secretary

Lauren's daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 2. She works in investment banking and is webmaster of the CWDF website. She has been working with ChildrenWithDiabetes.com coordinating elementary programming. Lauren and her family have volunteered for and supported many diabetes organizations.
